Managing User Accounts

Your Propertyware Administrator may Create, Edit and Delete users, including owners and property managers (also users), within your account.

Creating New User Accounts:

  1. Click the Setup linkat the top of the Application.
  2. Choose Manage Users from the Administration Setup menu located on the left sidebar.
  3. Click User Accounts on the sub-navigation bar. This will take you to the User Accounts Page of the application, which contains a list of all the users within your organization and their respective account information.
  4. Click the New User button to display the user account and complete field entries for the following displayed fields. All the fields with a Red Asterisk (*) displayed next to the field name are Required Fields.
    1. Profile -- Use this dropdown menu to assign the applicable User Profile.
    2. Status -- Use this dropdown menu to assign the applicable User Status (Active or Inactive).
    3. Privilege Level -- Use this dropdown menu to assign the applicable Privilege Level (Admin or Normal User).
    4. First Name/Last Name /Email -- Enter the applicable information into the User Account.
    5. Password/Confirm Password -- Enter the User Password and confirm it. Check the Auto Generate box to have the system create a Password on the user's behalf.
    6. The remainder of the fields are optional; note that the Company and Address default into the individual User Account from the Company Information setup.
    7. Save -- Click this button to complete the setup of the new User Account.

Editing User Accounts

Your Propertyware Administrator may edit existing user accounts by following these steps:

  1. Follow steps 1-3 under "Creating Users" above.
  2. Click the Edit link in the Action column next to the user.
  3. Edit the displayed fields (see field descriptions above).
  4. Click Save.

Deleting User Accounts

Your Propertyware Administrator may delete user accounts by following these steps:

  1. Follow steps 1-3 under "Creating Users" above.
  2. Click the Del link in the Action column next to the user.
  3. Click OK in the confirmation window.
