If you have run a tenant statement, and are not seeing a transaction that you expect to see, please consider the following:
-
Make sure that the transaction has posted to the tenant ledger.
Only transactions that have posted to the lease’s tenant ledger will appear on tenant statement. Go to the tenant ledger and confirm that the missing charge or payment is appearing. You may be looking for next month’s rental auto charge, but it hasn’t posted on the tenant ledger yet. Your administrator may set how early auto charges post to the tenant ledger by modifying the Post Auto Charges field from the Accounting Preferences page. - Make sure the transaction date is within the Statement Period.
When generating tenant statements, you will be prompted to select a Period Start Date and End Date. These fields determine which transactions will be included in your statement. Check the date of the transaction that you are missing, and be sure that it is within the Statement Period you are selecting.
