Search

Propertyware's Search feature allows you to quickly find any information in your account, saving you valuable time by putting important information at your fingertips.

Whether you are looking for one particular data item or a list of occurrences, using Search can oftentimes be quicker and easier than clicking through tabs to find what you're looking for.

The Search tool appears in the upper left corner at the top of the sidebar.  Simply start typing and immediate results will appear in a drop-down list.

Locate the desired item in the drop-down list to display that particular record, whether it is a contact, lease, portfolio, building or vendor.  Alternatively, click on “Deeper Search” at the bottom of the drop-down list to display a report of all records found by category – Leases, Contacts, Portfolios, Vendors, Money In, Bills and Bill Payments – with the search criteria highlighted in yellow.

It may be helpful to note that searches are not case sensitive and you may also include the wild card character (*) at the beginning of your search text.  As an example, let's say you know the last 4 digits of a customer's phone number are 3784 but cannot recall the area code or prefix.  To locate all phone numbers that end with 3784 simply enter *3784.

Search Tags
This powerful feature allows you to tag various items in Propertyware with your own criteria.  This tag will be used when performing a quick or advanced search.

The Search Tag feature is located in the upper right corner of various pages such as Contacts, Vendors, and Leases.  To create a search tag, click on Search Tag and enter a word or short phrase and click Save.  Once tags have been set, you can enter the Search Tag word or phrase in Search to find all records associated with that Search Tag.

Alternatively, when creating new Portfolios, Buildings, Units, Prospects, Contacts, Leases, Work Orders and Assets Search Tags can be entered into the Search Tag field.
