Managing Your Rental Listings

Propertyware's Marketing Module allows you to creating listings your "for rent" and "for sale" properties that can be displayed in the following locations:

  1. Your Propertyware Portal which contains a Rentals and For Sale section
  2. On the online marketplaces included in our network of free listing providers
  3. On other online marketplaces such as Craisglist.org, eBay and Backpages.com using the HTML snippet feature

Posting Your Rentals to Your Propertyware Portal

1. Click the Marketing tab

2. Click the Listings button below the header

3. All of your Portfolios, Buildings and Units will automatically display within the For Rent section of the table below. Use the filters available in the View By header on this table to locate the appropriate rentals

Filter

Description

Property

Select to view your properties by a specific Portfolio or Building, all Portfolios or a customized Saved View. Once retrieved, your filtered search will display within the Unit Table below.

Unit Type

Select to view your properties by the Unit Type (i.e., 1 bedroom/1 bath).

Lease Status

Select to view your properties by any of the following lease status options:

  • Vacant - Unoccupied unit
  • Vacant Ready – Unoccupied unit ready to be rented.
  • Vacant Not Ready – Unoccupied unit not yet ready to be rented.
  • Draft -- Unit with a lease before the Move In Calculation
  • Vacant + Draft – Pulls all units with Vacant and DraftLeases
  • Occupied – All occupied units.

Available

Select to view units with an available vacancy date of:

  • Today - All dates on or before today
  • Next 30 Days - All dates included within the next 30 days, including all past dates
  • Next 60 Days - All dates included within the next 60 days, including all past dates
  • Next 90 Days - All dates included within the next 90 days, including all past dates
  • All - All dates, including those marked with no available date at all

4. When viewing a large number of properties within your unit inventory, you may use the Items Per Page options at the bottom of the Unit Table to expand your view to 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, or 1000 Unit Items per page.

5. Select any properties that you would like to have appear on your Propertyware Portal and our network of free listing providers by selecting the appropriate checkbox in the Published column. Select the checkbox in the Featured column if you would like to have the listing appear in the rotation of items featured listings on the homepage of your Propertyware Portal.


Vertical Checkbox Column

Published

To post a vacancy or even market a unit prior to its availability date on your Propertyware Website, simply select the appropriate checkbox within the first vertical column of the Units Table. This column may be identified by a green check icon, which when moused over, will read "Published."

  • To maintain your rental listing going forward, simply return to the Marketing Tab and modify your rental selections.
  • Use the All or None buttons at the bottom of the column to select or deselect all displayed units.

Featured

To showcase a rental within the featured rental rotation of your Propertyware Portal, simply select the appropriate checkbox within the second vertical column of the Unit Table. This column may be identified by a house icon, which when moused over, will read "Featured."

  • Once a featured rental is selected, the image of the rentable unit will automatically post on the homepage of your Propertyware Portal. An image will only post if previously uploaded to Propertyware. If multiple featured rentals are selected, your homepage will cycle through your featured rentals each time the page refreshes.
  • Use the All or None buttons at the bottom of the column to select or deselect all displayed units.

6. Click the link below the table to view the listings that have been published to your Propertyware Portal.

Published listings pull the property details from the Property tab.  From the Property tab, select the building or unit from the navigator and scroll down to the Marketing Information section.  All of the information in that section will be published.  Editing the Marketing Information will edit the data sent to third party sites, Craigslist and your Management Company website.
