What is a Management Fee?
A Management Fee is a fee charged by a property management company in exchange for its management services which can include the accounts receivable, account payable, maintenance management, leasing, financial reporting and tenant relationship management.
Propertyware allows property management companies to set a unique management fee rule for each of their owner’s portfolios. This management fee rule will be reference creating your management fee bill for your services to the owner’s portfolio.
How Do I Calculate My Management Fee?
Propertyware’s Management module include a management fee calculator that simplifies the process for creating your management fee bill for each owners portfolio. Propertyware’s management fee calculator will also help you:
- Create your management fee bill
- Pay the management fee bill
- Reflect the income the management company earned as Other Income in the management portfolio
- Set the accounting close date for the owner’s portfolio
- Pay the remaining portfolio balance, less the Portfolio Minimum, to the owner in the form of an Owner’s Draw
- Generate an owners statement
The Management module must be enabled on your account by your Propertyware administrator from Setup>Company Info.
