Printing Deposit Tickets

Propertyware allows you to print a deposit ticket with or without a MICR line.  This feature is designed to make the banking process easier.

Adding the MICR Line

An Administrator must first add the MICR line to the bank account in your chart of accounts.

1.       Click the Setup link in the upper right hand corner of each page.

2.       Click the (+) sign next to the Customize option in the sub-menu.

3.       Click the Chart of Accounts.

4.       The top most accounts in the Chart of Accounts will be your bank accounts.  Locate the account you want to add the MICR line to and click the Edit link in the action column.

5.       The bottom section labeled Bank Information will have a Deposit Ticket option in the right hand column.  The Preprinted Form option will be selected by default.  This will make a deposit ticket available without the MICR line.  Click the Blank Deposit Form to add the MICR line.

6.       The MICR line on your check will have symbols before and after the account/routing numbers.  Use the A-D key to create the symbols and add your full MICR line into the Deposit MICR Line text field.

7.       Click the Save button.

Printing Deposit Tickets

Once the deposit is closed, you can print the deposit ticket.

1.       Navigate to the Banking tab.

2.       Click the Bank Deposits page view.

3.       Click the Closed Deposits tab.

4.       Click the link to the closed deposit.

5.       Click  the Print Deposit Ticket button.

6.       A PDF will pop up with the deposit information.  If you set it up in your chart of accounts, the MICR line will be included.

7.       Print the deposit ticket PDF.
