Navigate to the owner/vendor 1099 pages in Propertyware and review the data for accuracy:

  • Owner – Management > Related Activities > Print Owner 1099s
  • Vendor – Money Out > Related Activities >
    Print Vendor 1099s

If there are any discrepancies, make the necessary adjustments to owner/vendor ledger.  You may also have to make changes to the owner contact or vendor ledger.

Once the Transmitter Control Code (TCC) is received from the IRS, an Administrator will need to navigate to Setup > Administration Setup > Company Information and clickEdit.

Enter the following details:

  • Taxpayer Name – Company Owner
  • Transmitter Control Code – Required for e-filing.
  • Contact Name – Name of the person that will handle inquiries into the 1099.

Navigate to the owner/vendor 1099 pages in Propertyware and click Generate 1099 EFile Export button.

Important:  Clicking this button does not automatically send the file to the IRS.  Clicking this button will generate a file that must be saved to your computer and submitted, outside of Propertyware, to the IRS.

Complete the remaining steps per the IRS guidelines.
